Coolpad company has unveiled its new budgeted smartphone, in the country United States of America which is priced at the cost of $100 which is roughly Rs. 6,500, the new Coolpad Defiant will be exclusive available to the ecommerce platform T-Mobile where consumers can buy it at just $4 monthly EMI instalments for mostly around 24 months.

Specifications of the smartphone

One of the biggest and the major highlights of the new Coolpad Defiant smartphone is that it runs on Android version 7.0 Nougat which is the latest Android available in the market out-of-the-box. The budget smartphone features a 5-inch display with a screen resolution of 480 pixels x 854 pixels (FWVGA). It is also powered and supported by 1.4GHz quad-core processor which is coupled with the 1GB of RAM. It packs with the 8GB inbuilt onboard storage, and supports an expandable storage via micro SD card which is capable of storing up to 32GB.

Camera Department

The Coolpad Defiant also supports Long Term Evolution(LTE) connectivity apart from Bluetooth version of 4.2. There's 5-megapixel primary rear camera and a 20 megapixel front camera as well for taking selfies and video calling. The phone is also backed by a battery capacity of up to 2450mAh which is a removable one and the company claims the smartphone can deliver the talk time of up to 16.5 hours and a standby time of up to 288 hours in just full time charging.

Other connectivity options on the smartphone include the Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, HSPA+ with download speeds of up to 42Mbps and VoLTE. As of now, there's no word whether the entry-level Coolpad Defiant will be available in many other markets apart from the US market. Apart from this, the sensors on the smartphone include the Ambient sensor, gyroscope, magnometer, proximity sensor.
